Eligibility and Admission Criteria:
- Passed 10+2 Science or Equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry & Biology) with 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4
- Physically and mentally fit
- Must pass the entrance examination conducted by Medical Education Commission of Nepal.
Total no. of intake in One Academic Year : 20
The BSN program aims to prepare competent professional nurses in education, administration and services in respective levels of health programs which include problem identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Such graduates can serve in various types of positions at national, federal, provincial and local levels through governmental or non-governmental health agencies, INGOs, communities, hospitals, schools, campuses and health institutions. In general, the BSN graduates will be able to provide direct services to the patients and community people as well as carry out basic research and academic activities.
Objectives of the program
The general objective of the BSN program is to produce competent graduates with the advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to deliver high quality health services needed for the country. After the completion of four year's BSN program, the graduates will be able to achieve the following specific objectives:
- Provide basic and advanced knowledge and practical skills in nursing science covering Primary Health Care.
- Develop skills in health system research and management that lead to individual and community self-reliance in obtaining health services and improvement in health status.
- Equip with communication and group organization skills for promoting community participation in health and development activities.
- Manage issues, concerns and problems related to health and nursing profession.
- Enable to deal with the existing realities in health.
- Foster positive attitudes to encourage them for providing accessible and equitable nursing services for disadvantaged groups and communities.
- Develop the leadership capabilities in the management of nursing services at various levels
- Prepare to be creative and innovative in preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative aspect of care.
- Enhance competency in teaching learning process and promote self-directed learning.
- Apply the knowledge of nursing process for providing holistic nursing care and service.
- Provide knowledge and skill to conduct the health and nursing related research work independently
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION:
- Photocopy of Mark-Sheets and Character Certificate of SLC/SEE and 10+2 or ISc.
- Photocopy of Migration and Provisional Certificate of 10+2 or ISc.
- Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate
- Six Copies of PP size Photographs
- Duly filled admission Form
